About Pineapple Payments
Founded in 2016, Pineapple Payments is a merchant account provider offering a full range of terminal and software-based payment processing options.
In October of 2017, Pineapple Payments announced its acquisition of Payline Data. The acquisition of that company means Pineapple Payments will provide its services to nearly 10,000 merchants with a combined annual processing volume of over $2 billion. Despite being a relatively new company, its advanced payment technology and experienced executive leadership have allowed the company to flourish in the 3 years or so it has been in business. Pineapple Payments also acquired Boston-based Beacon Payments and fellow Pittsburgh-based merchant account provider CardChamp in 2019.
In 2021, Pineapple Payments was acquired by mega-processor Fiserv. Fiserv appears to operate the company under its own brand.

Pineapple Payments Support Accessibility
Unlike some competitors, Pineapple Payments does not offer a dedicated email address or direct phone line specifically for customer service inquiries. Support for resellers exists, but this is not directly beneficial to end customers seeking assistance. Monthly & Annual Fees | Yes |

Pineapple Payments Pricing
Pineapple Payments has not publicly disclosed its rates, fees, merchant agreement, or contract terms. Customer feedback indicates the availability of interchange-plus and flat-rate pricing options. Through partnerships with Worldpay, TSYS, and First Data for backend processing, Pineapple Payments likely inherits and passes on the fees characteristic of these providers, in addition to Pineapple’s own transaction fees.
Typically, contracts with Worldpay, TSYS, and First Data span three years with one-year automatic renewal clauses, including PCI compliance and early termination fees that may reach up to $25 monthly and $495, respectively. Additionally, contracts may feature non-cancellable equipment leases through First Data Global Leasing.
Virtual Terminal and Payment Gateway Pricing
Pineapple Payments also promotes its virtual terminal and payment gateway services, with specific pricing dependent on the backend processor’s contract a client selects. Expect additional costs such as gateway fees, technical support fees, batch fees, and other transaction-related charges for these e-commerce solutions.
Transparent Rates with the Possibility of High Fees
The provision of interchange-plus pricing by Pineapple Payments offers merchants clear and competitive rates, but this advantage may be counterbalanced by potentially significant fees associated with its backend processors. SHADY SHADY SHADY. No one can explain charges in our operating account. Strange withdrawals without explanation. Crazy experience. Highly do NOT recommend.
Fayzillo Akhmedov
I do not recommend this company. They have been overcharging me and putting charges that they can’t explain properly. Some of their explanations contradict each other. After getting tired of dealing with them and getting nowhere, I disputed the charges through my bank. Shady business.
