Clean Complaint Record

CARDZ3N currently has an “A+” rating from the Better Business Bureau and has been BBB accredited since April 2019. The company has received 0 complaints since its profile was created in April 2019.

What Merchants Say

CARDZ3N has received 1 informal review to its BBB profile, which is negative. This review describes iffy sales practices:

* CONSUMER BEWARE * I was interested in this company’s merchant processing services. I dealt with the owner, Joshua B********, although he didn’t make it known to me that he was the owner until I asked to speak to his manager when he resisted being transparent. He emailed me an agreement to sign, but the agreement was just between me and the bank. When I questioned some statements on the agreement, Josh stated that a lot of the info in the bank’s agreement wasn’t in line with how his company operates. When I asked him for an agreement between me and his company (Card Z3n), all he said was that all the information was on their website. I told him that info on websites are meant to be changed, and it is NOT considered a contract. He disagreed and then told me I’m not a good fit for his company. In other words, educated customers are his worth nightmare when they begin to question the “contract.” *BUYER BEWARE *

This merchant would be better served by one of our top-rated processors. It should be noted, however, that CARDZ3N disputes the above claim.

An “A” Performance

Given the fact that the BBB’s profile for CARDZ3N has not received any complaints, we agree with the BBB’s rating. Merchants should be aware that there are still good reasons to be skeptical of the BBB’s rating system.

Variable Contract Terms

CARDZ3N rates are not publicly disclosed, and there are no merchant comments that mention specific rates or CARDZ3N fees. As an all-purpose payment processor active in multiple countries, it’s likely that the company’s contract terms and pricing will vary depending on each merchant’s business type, location, and processing history. Currency conversions and a merchant’s designated settlement currency could also impact payouts from CARDZ3N. CARDZ3N sells physical hardware from Clover and Poynt, so it is possible that the company signs merchants up for long-term, non-cancellable equipment leases.

Payment Gateway Pricing

Though CARDZ3N does not disclose the terms and conditions of its retail payment processing rates and fees, the company’s website lists the costs of its payment gateway services. CARDZ3N offers three monthly plans, its Lite, Pro, and Elite Plans. The Lite Plan costs $10 per month and charges $0.10 per transaction as a gateway fee. The Pro plan costs $15 per month and also charges $0.10 as a gateway fee. The Elite Plan costs $20 per month and imposes a gateway fee of $0.15 per transaction. We encourage merchants to compare CARDZ3N’s rates to the companies that provide the best merchant accounts.

Level 3 Processing Services

In addition to its traditional merchant services, CARDZ3N also advertises that it provides Level 3 processing for B2B transactions. Level 3 processing relies upon different interchange rates than traditional consumer credit transactions. Accommodating those rates requires different payment processing technology from a merchant account provider to transmit the amount of data required to facilitate the transactions. These services are reserved for B2B and B2G purchases that utilize corporate credit cards. According to the CARDZ3N website, it charges a $15 monthly fee and an additional $0.15 per transaction for Level 3 processing.

High Risk Means High Fees

High-risk merchants who sign up with CARDZ3N should expect to pay higher-than-average fees, and they may also be subject to cash reserves on their accounts. This is standard practice within the industry due to the elevated risk of chargebacks that many high-risk merchants pose. High-risk merchants can reduce their risk of fund-holds and chargebacks by being open and transparent with CARDZ3N about their business type and product lineup from the start.

No Red Flags

We cannot find any CARDZ3N complaints related to the company’s pricing, and there’s no reason to believe that the company’s merchants are dissatisfied with their pricing at this time. It is possible that CARDZ3N offers a wide range of potential contract types, so merchants should understand how to spot undesirable terms in their contract.

Our CARDZ3N Review Summary

Our Final Thoughts

Card Z3N ranks as a dependable merchant services provider based on our rating criteria. The company has maintained an unblemished complaint record and demonstrates a willingness to serve some high-risk merchants. This clean reputation is commendable, showcasing Card Z3N’s commitment to addressing the specific needs of a varied client base. However, the lack of detailed information about the company’s pricing and fee structure leaves some uncertainty. This opacity necessitates that merchants carefully review and clarify costs directly with Card Z3N before entering into any agreement.

We will continue to monitor the company closely and update this review as more details become available. In the meantime, merchants are encouraged to compare Card Z3N’s pricing against other top-rated, all-purpose payment processors to ensure they secure the most favorable terms. While the company’s transparent complaint record is reassuring, merchants should remain vigilant in thoroughly understanding contract terms and evaluating other market options to identify the payment solution that best aligns with their unique business requirements.

Location & Ownership
